Julie Bourdon, Mayor of Granby, is the honorary chair of the inaugural edition of the Granby National Bank Championships. Building on the professional experience she gained in the business and community sectors, she was elected Granby city councillor in 2015 and mayor on November 7, 2021. She is the first woman in the city’s history to hold the office.

A woman of commitment, Mayor Bourdon is engaged in the Union des municipalités du Québec (UMQ) as a member of the board of directors. She also chairs the Commission femmes, serves as co-chair of the Commission des assises annuelles 2023 and represents the UMQ as a member of the Table des partenaires en économie sociale led by the Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation. Dedicated to the city’s development, Julie Bourdon is proud to devote her time to improving the lives of Granby residents.

“It is a great privilege to have been chosen to serve as honorary chair of the very first edition of the Granby National Bank Championships, and I would like to sincerely thank the organization for appointing me. Tennis has held an important place in our city’s sports landscape for many years. I am especially fortunate since we will be hosting the inaugural edition of the WTA 250 women’s event in addition to the men’s ATP Challenger tournament.”
