1.    Dedication and passion: 55 years of tradition in Granby

Did you know that hosting tennis tournaments is a 55-year tradition in Granby? It all started way before the Championships, when the city welcomed the 1968 Omnium Labatt de Granby. Several tournaments followed and, in 1995, the Granby Tennis Challenger was created to the thrill of local fans who’d been following the sport for 27 years. In 2022, the stage is set for a new tournament with the highest stakes in Granby’s tennis history: a WTA 250 paired with an ATP Challenger.

2.    Invitation to the draw ceremony

Tennis fans are invited to the official draw ceremony of the Championships on Friday, August 19 at 5 p.m. Open to all.

3.    Open House

The Open House on August 20 is the perfect opportunity for families to discover the world of tennis. Watch the qualifying matches and even meet some of the players at the autograph sessions. The gates open at 11 a.m., and everyone’s welcome!

4.    Championships chefs

The Championships also feature the fourth edition of the Chefs’ Challenge. With the help of local restaurants and their chefs—who were asked to dream up a very special menu for $24.99—the event turns the spotlight on Granby as a culinary destination. This year’s participating eateries are Bistro Kapzak (August 22), Oblon (August 24), Resto Pub St-Amboise (August 25) and Le Esmond (August 26). The Chef’s Challenge starts a 4:30 p.m. every day. Bring your appetite and your ticket to the tournament!
